CodY (see the Y) is the boys spelling. Tell everyone to get a life!! Codi is a lovely girls name, they are all jealous they never thought of it first!!

I mean my name is a Charli, and I am defiantly not a male! LOL

I have a step-daughter and her name is Austen. Most think she is a boy. Now a days there are no real limits on names. I had a female friend and her name was Jamie Scott. I also know a girl, a very girlie girl with the name Michael. No rule for nameing your child. Just be nice and not give them something too over the top. I like Codi Ann.

I've known more boys named Cody with a y but there are some girls named Cody too. You make it even more unique with an I.

Spelled Codi, it's more like a girls name. It's also a boys name (and my son's) spelled Cody. It's also a common dog's name, which I'm not crazy about.

I would say its a boys name (my hubby's cousin is named Cody and he's a boy) but there is a girl in my daughters grade named Kodee. It really personal opinion I guess.
I heard of a baby girl named Ryan recently so who knows hey!

I think Dakota is a girl's name, and I would call her Codi, but I wouldn't right out name a girl Codi. So, I guess my answer is no, sorry.

It is a boys name, but what the heck, It's too late now!
At least the Ann feminizes it a bit.

In North united states of america, and maximum English-conversing international locations, i think maximum people might evaluate that to be a gender impartial call or nickname, plenty the comparable as 'Sam', 'Alex', 'Jordan', 'Morgan', 'Casey', 'Devon', 'Jamie', and so on.

Without seeing it spelled out it may sound like a boy's name. but seeing it written with an "i" it definitely looks like a girls name. Tell her don't worry about a few confused people, wear her name proudly, it's lovely. : )
