I quit about 2 months ago and already feel better and more clear headed,I find I don't sleep as heavy as I used to and I dream alot more.I have also noticed that I don't like the smell of it anymore especially when it is really strong stuff so that helps me to stay stopped when my boyfriend and his mate smokes.I only craved it for the first week and I was a heavy smoker but I think it depends on how much you want to quit.

Hi, Ki: I, too, was underweight when I quit in 2003. The bad news is that the weight gain continued over a couple of years. The good news is that, for me, it wasn't horrific. My metabolism slowed (and yours may not) and that's the worst of it. And, yes, it slowed over a long period of time. So I jumped a size, big deal. Am I happy with my new shape? No, but I am happy that the pulmonary disease I'm stuck with for the rest of my life won't be getting worse. I really rejoice when I see someone quit, especially before they do permanent damage. God bless your efforts to keep the weight off. Walk, walk, walk. The treadmill is your best friend! Love and best of luck, cmw EDIT: I was reading some of the answers and some misinformation. You need to know that smoking actually burns calories, so even if you did not eat more food, you'd gain weight. And that's other than the metabolism slowing part. Only 10% of people gain over as long as 5 years, so your odds are good. It does not have to be a nightmare. Stay positive.

Hi g d?,

Why would you want to is the ?. I'd have to say no to the question but will watch the fanatics answer it & give me a thumbs down. Unless U getting pee tested & quitted herb=quit smoking marijuana. You can ask I do believe. Additional Details:And quitting over a woman ya right if you need an excuse I guess that'll work but then again bud isn't a dangerous drug to start with. (how long does it talk till you feel really happy?) some of us are sticklers about grammar. lmao
Have a good day. :0)
Additional (additional)Details: giggles life is short enough without giving up bud besides you can still function. I've probably smoked long before you were a twinkle in your parents eyes. 2 tokes for the AM hour, noon, PM & the midnight hour & after. Good luck though.

Depends on how much yer smoked mate. You may get a little tetchy, and stressed, with a few night sweat's just for the first 4 or 5 days. I know it's not physically addictive but yer might get a little depression afterwards. Can not tell you how long it will take before yer feeling alright in yer self, because we are all different. I am clean off heroin now for over 2 years and trust me that was fcuking hell, so just dig in and do it mate.

need a chat don't hesitate to E - mail me.

Next few days you should expect to be back round at an old friends scoring some more. Then about an hour after that you should feel100% all over again with the craving for chocolate and ice-cream about 30 minutes after that. Sounds good ya!!!

what, weed?? Well, im smoking atm, but i have spent a few months away. you get restlesness and mood swings, but very very mild. It depends from person to person. I found quiting cigarrettes a lot hards. i mean A LOT! no comparison.
You will get cravings tho. i'd say the first 2 days you're fine. then youll get a week of cravings but nothing to harsh (like sugar cravings i think). then you just forget about it

I have no personal experience but from seeing others I would say firstly it depends on how long you have smoked for, how heavy a smoker you were, if are you an addictive personality and if you are helping your body with the detox?

You are in for quite a ride though; even if it is natural smoking herb messes your mind and body up. I've seen it in loved ones, esp when they try to go cold turkey and if they try to give up smoking ciggy's too.

I hope you have plenty of support. Try to look after yourself, seek help in some form (telephone helpline, friends or someone) as you shuldn't be doing this alot [edit: that should be alone sorry].

And people, his spelling is great given the cirumstances.

[edit: I have tried it on several occassions in the past, so I'm not judging but people it is addictive, and it can be soul destroying to watch someone smoking their life away. I have been around many "herb" smokers; lived with them, loved them so I've seen what long term use can do. And while I have never smoked it that heavily the anti-depressants I am coming off are as hard to come off as coke and heroin and so I can advise you in regards to detoxing. pls feel free to email me. I admire you for coming off this drug. But please do it for yourself first]

There shouldn't really be any big problems. But of course, it depends on the type of person that you are. Some people can crave anything after giving it up.

your not hungry anymore, you get stressed out, you cant sleep, but at the same time youve got loads of energy. lasts around a week. Depends on how long youve been smoking it.
