people hate him because they would prefer things continue to go on as they do...
rich get richer,
government contractors...
lobbyists...
pharmaceuticals and insurance companies.
Oil and all the war profitteers that seem to be associated with bush right now.
Thy are the ones that like things the way they are...
So when Moore comes rocking theirboat,it means there true intentions will be exposed...
and thtas all about greed, for one, exploitation for the masses.
Moore offers the information,
brings deeds to light.
Its up to people tochoose whats best for our nation and take action accordingly.
Hes offering the blueprint for change
I say we use it

Michael Moore does a very good job of highlighting some of the serious issues affecting society in the US. His documentaries make you think.
I am not sure how accurate he is but his contributions to the various debates are necessary. Who else in the US is able to get the exposure he does for the topics he covers.
He is not a hero but MM is a vital part of the democratic system.
But the forces on the right are building a concerted effort to riducule and reduce his influence. If you do not like the message then shoot the messenger.

I think he's funny He's definitely a cockle-bur under Bush's saddle blanket.
Very thing he has brought to light is the truth as well.
Something the Bush administration doesn't want the population to hear or know.
After watching Fahrenheit 9/11 makes one wonder just who really is running the show and calling the shots.
Bush and company
OR
The Saudi Royal family.
Did we invade Iraq because the Saudi Royal family ordered Bush to?
Is the Bush family just the Saudi Royal family's puppets?
Has the Bush administration turned us into a puppet government actually ruled by the Saudi Royal Family?.
Have they made us the military arm of the Saudi Royal Family?
Some questions that popped in my mind when I saw Fhrenheit 9/11.

While he does point out some social wrongs, his documentaries tend not tell the whole truth or he just plain lies. In "Roger and Me" he goes around trying to get an interview with the GM CEO. Throughout the movie he says he can never get an interview, but in fact he had one and filmed it. He was unable to get him to say anything bad, so he decided not to use the interview and just say he never got one. He also showed people getting evicted from their homes, implying that they lost their jobs at GM. In truth the ones he showed never worked at GM.
In "Fahrenheit 911" he claims the congressmen children do not serve in the military, but he left out counting the ones that where officers. With them added the children of congressmen serve at the same percentage rate as the rest of the country.
These are just a few examples on why is documentaries are not always truthful and it rubes some people the wrong way. Also, some people just hate stuff that comes from the left.

He is not in the business of outlining problems America faces. He is in the business of carefully crafting film footage, through editing and other dishonest means to create the impression that what he is doing is simply documenting reality. His movies have nothing whatsoever to do with reality but rather, with what he wants everyone to believe is reality.
He is just one more of the phony people in America that love to bash their country while greatly profiting from it.
America is comparable to a beautiful, horse. You can look at all that is great about her or you can simply lift her tail and complain about the smell. Michael Moore is not only a tail lifter he deliberately exaggerates the odor by adding his own.

People hate Michael Moore because he spoke out against Bush, the Republicans' darling boy. These people even labeled M.Moore a Socialist, because that is one of the worst words, they believe, they could call someone.
However Bush is no longer the golden boy in most people's eyes; thus, M. Moore is now more respected as a consumer advocate, than ostracized as a socialistic critic.
Pretty soon, he will leap to the status of "American Prophet."

Yep, but many Americans don't want to hear the truth... they'd just as soon live in the land of "the nile" (denial). Look at Jacob W's answer.

He is a lying opportunist who makes docufables and I'm waiting for the day he apologizes to Charlton Heston for slander by presenting him as a racist. For those who are not aware Charlton was a member of the Actors Guild against Racism in the sixties and a friend of Martin Luther King Jr.

Michael Moore is a true hero in my eyes! He thinks for himself and digs for the truth. Trying to open people's eyes to the obvious is much harder than one thinks.
Go Michael Moore! I wish he was running for Prez.

People dislike him, because his " documentaries" don't show the whole truth. He likes to edit too much. He also likes to leave out important information.
