you know, in a way, it's a good thing that they are attempting to do away with the first amendment BEFORE they are given the reigns of power...it may be republicans chance to win back congress and as importantly, the white house..even some democrats bristle at the prospect of full blown stalinism, seeing stalinism blooming, like we have seen in spades this week, America may just wise up to the lies of the left. God bless America.

The left was so embarrassed over move on . org, that they are focusing on Rush to even the score. The left hates that they can't compete in a free market way with conservative talk shows, so they want the rest of us to pay for they're equal time on the radio. Congress should not even be dealing with this issue. It takes attention away from work they should be doing.
If the right were forced to offer equal time, they would simply shut down rather than give in. Exactly what the lefties want. Nobody reporting on they're step by step attempts to socialize the whole world.

The minute Congress starts limiting access to public media, start looking for another country to live. Once they put a limit on the airwaves (the technical term would be censorship) someone will think the idea should extent to print - for the safety of the public, of course - or to protect the children - or in the name of security. Whatever reason is advanced, the result will be the same - the end of freedom of speech and the beginning of the end of the American ideal.

Absolutely not! That amounts to state-sponsored media, and I am totally against it. I think that everyone should be free to express their opinions in an open forum. If those views are unpopular, so be it.

Wesley Clark is a former four-star general. He should know better.

Yes I do disagree with Clark.
I don't know what Soros has on Clark but it must be good to do his will.

Here is the link to Clark's wishes.

For the fairness doctrine fans than I say that it should apply to ALL forms of media that does include TV, newspapers, and internet.

No, he is an idiot. The problem is there are many other politicians like him who would love to be able to say and do what ever they want without being called on it. The sad thing is that there are many citizens on his side who think that this will be a good thing as long as it silences their opposition. You give the politicians this kind of power and it will be no time until all political oppositional voices will be silenced.

No. The FCC literally owns AIR. AIR!!! They can buy and sell as much of our Airwaves without our consent whenever they please. Now they want to censor them ? I think the FCC is a big joke. People should start broadcasting and start hijacking the airwaves. Just my two cents.

This is just another democratic party attempt to jamb censorship down our throats. Clark should be flogged.

Seriously?? That's insane. Can't even trust the left in America to fight for liberties any more (not that they ever had a particularly good record anyway).
