Nobody is really "supposed" to have scans, it's up to you and your doctor how your pregnancy is managed. Thousands of women around the world go their entire pregnancies without ultrasounds and their babies come out just fine.

Your doctor will recommend scans as appropriate.

It really varies as to where you are in the world, and in some countries, whether you have insurance or not, or whether you're a public or a private patient.

I had 5 done but normally there is 2 done. 1 to determine the gestational age and to make sure baby is where they should be. The 2nd is usually done around 20 weeks.

How many one SHOULD have depends on the pregnancy really, if you are not high risk and your fundal height is typical than there really is no need to be checking. Some people have certain diseases that can be seem by u/s so they may request one to check (ex..heart disease or spina bifida) so if these disease are present they right drs can be involved from the start.
Some will also have 1 at about 35 weeks if they are scheduled for a c-section to check on baby's size, others will have 1 if baby is breech so that they can decide whether a version is needed......

So in short, it depends.

Probably not unless the doctor thinks that its medically necessary. Some doctors get another scan toward the end of pregnancy to double check the position and size of baby as well as placenta placement but its not really necessary as they should be able to tell this through feeling your belly, measuring and doppler.

It all depends on your ob/gyn. If you are not high-risk, then there would be less ultrasounds done. I think that the norm is 2 scans, one to "date" the pregnancy and another at around 18-20 weeks.

I myself was high-risk, I had many scans done during my pregnancies with my children. I also had a 3-D one, not by choice. It was to confirm my daughter's cleft lip/palate.

only if there is a problem with the baby, not turned (breech) by 36 weeks, not growing, or growing too quickly. If they found no abnormalities and your measurements are good for your dates then you probably wont have another scan. Which is a good thing.

The only reason to have another would be if you are high-risk for any issues. Otherwise, the norm is 2 Ultrasounds. Some people just like to have multiple U/S for no particular reason ..but they end up paying for it out of pocket (like they are monthly polaroids of their lil' fetus)...

Congratulations & Good Luck!

There's absoluteyly no need for any more unless your dr/middies are concerned about the baby's position (ie breech/posterior) Even then, they can usually tell fairly accurately by feeling it.

It is nice to see your bub moving around, but as long as you are regularly having the heartbeat checked at your midwife visits, and you can feel the bub moving, there is really no need.

You might have an early, just to confirm pregnancty. If your last pregnancy was fine and you don't have any complications this time around, on average including the early, you will probably have 3.

i am going for my third one on monday i was suppose to only have one but my frist two where unclear ( i was dehadrated). my mid wife says normaly they only do one unless there is reason to worry. i do however know some doctors do them as often as once a month. if your doctor thinks you need another or if you want a another go for it but unless somethings up you don't have to have one.

I think you only have extra ones if there is a problem or a potential problem. I only had 2 with my kids
