Well, it's very clear that he's not the saviour that the right expected. Oh, heavens!

It is probably universally agreed that Politics is both a science and an art. Thus unless one practices and experiments continuously he can not succeed even in politics. We tend to criticize career politicians. But one has to learn from his own experiences the trials and tribulations of running an organization, much less a nation, and there too a super power like the US.
Against the above background , what is there in the CV of Thompson to support the wishful thinking that he will become another Ronald Reagan. It should not be assumed that America can be run efficiently by any one , once he is in the Driver's seat.

yes, he has shown that he has little grasp of the issues, his campaign style can best be charactorized as "lazy" and he has failed to attract much in the way of donations.
his donations were not even half that of Hillary or Obama, never mind the fact that they each have $80 million saved up for a campaign and he has a total of $8 million
his personal and professional life shows he is not a conservative or much of a Christian by any stretch of the imagination, you put lipstick on a pig and what do you have? a pig.
he's a farce and definitely not the next Ronald Reagan

Thompson has some great ideas, but that is all they are. As president, he could not pass one single idea of his without the support and votes in congress. Another bad paiont is that he is republican and Americans are pretty much sick of republican conservatism because it does not help the middle class. If one is republican - for a party - they will not get very far in this pre-election scenario.

I think given the opportunity and elected President the USA Nation would be extremely surprised in finding out that they'd elected a very intelligent man with many other talents - and a deep understanding of the USA's need to redefine itself and, in so doing, restore its past respected world standing.
I believe hes got the edge over every other running candidate. What a great pity the people of the USA have not recognized it!

His acting career never amounted to much. He was only nominated for one Emmy; and that was for an ensemble award.
He lost to a gay undertaker that year.
The movie "Drop Dead Fred" is more popular than the Tennessean.

Referencing a nytimes report us that says Thompson does not have a chance. Would be pretty close to me referencing Rush Limbaugh's words as proof that Hilary does not have a chance.
