Yeah, i understand how you feel, this used to be the same for me. But one thing you need to realise is that they are trying to be supportive, they're showing empathy, which is a good thing, at least you know you have support. You need to gently inform them that you are fine and would like to move forward with your life instead of dwelling on the past. If you deal with this issue in a confident and mature manner, people will automatically stop feeling sorry for you and will admire your positive outlook on life. Trust me, this works

You must see how you are more experienced. Only a few ever go through a psychotic period and are separated from the mind. Only then do you see life totally and know realities unknown to the world. The well wisher will have the tragedy later on. Help prepare them to survive . All don't survive as well as you.

I have been treated differently all my life. What is wrong with that? Bring your eyes from the ground and look at the sky and the people, if the others are not different then you are surrounded by clones.

pity can be a damaging emotion, the best thing to do is say you want to concentrate on now rather than the past and tell people you want to be positive that life goes on and it is not helpful to dwell on the past, people will respect you for your attitude, as do I.
