I kind of believe in a combination ... we can do our best to make something happen and sometimes it will .. other times it seems as if things are being thrown in our path .. perhaps to test how MUCH we really want something ... or .. to make us reconsider .. " is this REALLY the path I WANT to take "

Most people don't understand the difference between Destiny and Fate, or when Will becomes a factor.
Fate is something that is day to day and is easily changeable through our own Will. For better or for worse, at the end of the day, our Fate, or turnout, will be what we have decided it be by setting into motion forces around us that will eventually come back to either reward us or hurt us.
Destiny, on the other hand is something more concrete. If you've ever done something that you can remember forever... something during which you felt like it almost was meant to happen, and just was so easy, or so hard, or so in between that you have no idea why you find yourself at your most profound after its occurrence, you are experiencing the touch of Destiny. When we are meant to do something for the essence of the universe, it must be done, for the good, or not so good, of everyone. However, there are some forces, such as True Love, that can be so powerful, that Destiny itself may bow to its whim. Much how like cancer can be something that one can survive through, even when others say all hope is lost (although it is Hope that bent Destiny's hand).

I do not believe in destiny or fate. I believe we create our own reality. We choose to be were we are, when we are, we choose happiness or sadness. If we are unhappy, we can choose to remain that way or change it. I hope you get my gist. Have you heard of Lazario? Do a search on the net.
He is much better at explaining it.

I believe in the Will. We make, shape, change and forge our own destinies. We are the rulers of our lives. Our choices and decisions will determine the course and outline of our future.
