Are other Americans this stupid minded to place foolish bets? Maybe that reason jobs are going overseas to well deserving country men who are smart minded and work hard?

I take it you're not an American. It also sounds like you don't like Americans. Oh well, we can't all be perfect! As for Georgie, what's wrong with him rooting and believing in his team? I'm sure even you root for a favorite team, or don't you? This is supposed to be a fun place not to ridicule others. Why are you trying to make this a political statement when all we're just trying to do is have some fun with sports?

You sound like you have issues.

Georgie Porgie made that bet because he believed His Tigers would win the division. Because Georgie Porgie is a man of his word, he honored that bet. Georgie Porgie does have a life. He works hard at his job to make America The beautiful a great place to live. Georgie Porgie's co-workers and supervisors all love his wonderfully delicious sense of humor. They admire Georgie Porgie's strict work ethic.

And Georgie Porgie has many friends whom he admires and respects very much, and he thanks them for their support.

If you don't like America, then go back to India (or wherever you're from!) The Detroit Tigers are an AWESOME team,my friend. It was NOT a foolish bet! (I think you bet on the Yankees last year and are spitting some sour grapes on us!)--AND by the WAY..US Americans don't work just as HARD as the sweat shops in Calcutta because we have people who defend our rights-UNIONS!!-SOLIDARITY FOREVER!!

You would have to have a sense of humor to understand so it might be difficult explaining it to you. This site should be informative, entertaining, and light hearted which, unfortunately, is not always the case. For the benefit of many people on this site Georgie is able to accomplish all of the above. I can see by your question that you are trying to take his comments too seriously and you should take a step back and take a fresh look, maybe you will come up with a new prospective on this issue.

'Cause he's a fan.

I would have made the same bet if I was a Tigers fan earlier in the season, the Tigers had the division and the WC as well.

Then, they choked completley and lost the WC and the Division.

Americans are among the smartest people in the world besides Bush, plus they dont call other nations stu***.

You sure are a very offensive person! I don't understand why you CARE what GP does if it doesn't really affect you. He is a proud Tigers fan and he stands behind his team even if they fail. Maybe you don't know what loyalty means!

And the job thing is a REALLY low blow! Can you say China?

I agree with the Mick.
You obviously have issues.
Georgie roots for his team just like you would for a cricket team.
