Austin and Dallas are nice names because Austin means majestic and Dallas means water near the field. if you like you could check-out http://www.babynology.com. they have a lot of names there with their meanings. hope it helps you out!

Austin is much better than Dallas. What about researching great leaders or people of influence in texas history instead and then name him after 'somebody' rather than 'something'.

Definitely Austin, cause it can mean something special to you, while it is also a nice name to other people. I also like how it sounds. Dallas is okay, but it would be pretty obvious he was named after a town, and I don't know if he would like that.

I like Austin the best...there is also Houston to think about and spanish names ...I have a few...Carlos, Diego, Javier, Ruben, Miguel, Nevada, Nicolas, Rico. Hope this helps a little...
