There is always a chance that they could be wrong but if the doctor gave you an indication one way or the other i would be inclined to believe it. If they really aren't sure at all they would say so.
Maybe ask for another ultrasound in a few weeks if you really really really want to know for sure.

Just keep receipts for everything you buy in case you need to return it and try not to make everything pink. (good idea to keep receipts for newborn baby clothes at any time because some stuff may not fit and therefore you can return it) Get some unisex stuff that you can use no matter what sex it is and choose a back up boys name so you don't go home from the hospital with an unamed baby!

Best of luck and congrats!

The only sure way to tell is by having an amnoecitosis (wrong spelling!). It is where a long needle is inserted through your abdomen into the uterus to extract a small amount of amniotic fluid. They can detect the sex of the baby this way plus determine if there are any abnormalities like Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy etc. Considering that your Dr has likely seen to thousands of pregnant women, I would say that she would be fairly accurate and your baby is a girl.

Well...if you see the shape of the profile and it looks feminine, then it is a girl. The doctor is probably right because he knows how to tell even though the legs are closed.

Hope I helped

Amnio will tell you for sure, but is a risky procedure. If you aren't at high risk, over 35 or questioning some genetic problems, the Dr will likely not perform it. But it's a definite 100% result.....

Err, yes, 1 chance in 10.

I don't understand the question. She already told you EXACTLY what she thinks the chances are, and she's the only one who's seen it!
