This isn't a stupid question, Deirdre. Your critics are full of manure, and don't understand the goals of the modern feminist movement. But then you knew that. I find it especially ridiculous that they disparage NOW, yet believe in the crap posted on antimisandry.com.
Our saving grace is that most of society doesn't see things their way. For every broken-hearted father mourning the loss of his children to his ex (and not all exes are vindictive without reason), there's a jerk out there boasting about his conquest and how he never uses a rubber because he doesn't like it. Courts are looking at what's in the best interests of the children. I heard that last night on Larry King.

I think there is no inequality per se in those beliefs as what you are trying to project in your question.
I believe that the notion of feminism and equality is subjective and culture-bound. Women staying at home for example would be considered "ok" and acceptable belief and practice in some cultures or countries but not with the others. I say being a feminist belief or otherwise is a perceived notion. History does not consider of these beliefs as anti-feminist. Even animals would often exhibit these anti-feminism as perceived by humans. This is the order of things and if we try to discover and explain why, most often times we would go beyond what is reasonable and scientific and tend to become metaphysical in our discourses. There are certain truths in this world that are absolute and some are very subjective. Even the notion of absolute and subjective can be subjective. Weird? Yes it is.
Not in rebuttal but the same point to consider: what if men stay at home and look after the children and house? Would this be also "anti-male" belief?
Why would there must be a male and female? Natural history would point that they are complements. The male may be good in one aspect because of their very nature and physical make-up than the female. Likewise, females are better or does better in some aspects than the males for the same reason. Would you call that inequality?

There sure is inequality here. How many men just get their children ripped from them and get to be every other weekend fathers because of a divorce. And this happens even when the woman causes the seperation.
Men do not have problems with support they have a problem with accountability with support and in a lot of cases that money does not go to the children.
And why is it wrong for men to want custody because it is their right as you say. Nothing stops the women from saying it is their right to have custody because they are the mother. this whole question is rediculous.

Sadly, your sarcasm was lost on most.
What, I think, reasonable minds can agree upon is the fact that both sides - men/women, feminists/anti-feminists - have radical and extreme members who post wildly ridiculous ideas here. In fact, I'm sure you will recall the zeal with which I entered this forum...full of anti-feminism and ridicule for those women who fancied themselves feminists. What I've learned in the past few months is that the movement itself is not as radical as some of the members, and that much can be learned if only an open mind is applied.
Not all women hate men. Not all men think women are useless. There exists unfairness in the family court system, and it needs to be addressed - but blaming women for that fact is as ridiculous as blaming men for discrimination in the workplace.
For those who come here just to sling mud, nothing will change their views - they aren't here to learn or understand the 'other side'. And others who are embittered from bad experiences will never see a different side or realize that not all women are out to get whatever they can for themselves at the expense of men.

FATM - maximum feminists do no longer hate adult males. in case you prefer to pigeonhole them, great. yet all you're doing is including to a run of the mill, previous stereotype. Even Dworkin in no way actual wrote the line approximately all adult males being rapists, in spite of the shown fact that human beings have oftentimes quoted her on it. Wiki it. that is from a e book, which they paraphrased with the intention to physique her as a 'manhater.' And anti-feminists are oftentimes threatened via the belief of the international changing, oftentimes so as that it would not favour them - if theyre a woman or guy who suits the previous stereotypes. they're going to try to persuade you you hate adult males because of the fact the only way they'd see you disagreeing with the way issues are is that in case you have some situation against adult males, as lots of them have against women individuals. Plus, they'd desire to villainise and ridicule feminists to attempt and persuade different individuals and themselves that feminists are terrible. a advantageous, 'genuine' lady could no longer probable prefer equality.

That's preposterous! Sure, women are needed at home. But they have to be more considerate to the modern 21st century women of today. And about divorce... that's an injustice! Whose womb produced the children anyway? Also... I don't think that this anti-feminists would succeed anyway. The modern woman is too different from the woman of yesterday.

Can you give some examples.
You have pulled some comments and melded them well for a stupid point.
Do you have links to something official or are your comments from YA.
Look at now.org your primary feminist website for viewing sexist material.
When it comes to family law, your statement holds true for feminism and women in general "Something certainly points to inequality in this movement wouldn't you say"

Men and women will never be totally the same. I think women are equal in their value as human beings. But to think that men and women can do everything the same is foolish. I find American women to be vile and rude. They are disrespectful of men and will not behave like a girl is supposed to. They have a princess mentality and think they can do whatever they like. Very distasteful to be around them.

Deidre that's as unbalnced a rant as we get with the shoot 'em up religos who rail against women here. Who's they? Which men do this? Men also devote their lives to children. Come on, get on the right page. Unless ... you are oh never mind!
