It is Alum Bay on the Isle of wight. its a public beach and the sands are in layers in the cliffs caused by different types of minerals staining the sands. They never look as clear and distinct in the cliffs as they do in the souvenir knick knacks sold around the island and you have to be very careful trying to collect your own as the cliffs are very soft and unstable

The beach is at Alum Bay on the Isle of Wight. I don't know if you have to pay to visit the beach, but knowing how commercialised we are as a nation it's probably the case.

I'm sure you can still buy souvenirs (or even packs of sand to craft your own displays) but they're probably quite expensive too.

Is it the needles in the Isle of Wight? I remember going there when I was younger and remember going to the needles and getting an ornament which you could make yourself with all different coloured sand

On the Road to Hana there is a red sand beach, but we could not find it because it was hiden, there is also a black sand beach somewhere. Just ask someone who works in your hotel or a local person.
