I agree completely.....but its worse than that if your kids happen to get up and turn on the tv at night they can see actual nudity and trucker talk. Society as a whole has lost morals and a sense of any type of decency.

Instead of banning nudity, why not allow a realistic perception of it? If all we see is the Hollywood stereotype of what nude people "should" look like, our expectations are that we will never be good enough or pretty enough to match the standard.
Nudists (like myself and my family) recognize that it is healthy to live life free from body shame. When you recognize that people come in all shapes and sizes, and that there are very few who fit the Hollywood image, you stabalize the false norms/values which you mentioned in your question.
As far as morality/teen pregnancy goes - that is a separate issue. Parents should take an active role in discussing these subjects with their children. If children know what they look like and the opposite gender looks like, the edge is taken off a bit. Combine it with some healthy discussion as they grow up, and you can raise some well adjusted kids.

May I ask you Rose as a kid have you not seen any so called vulgar ads etc? If so have you been influenced to do the same now that you are all grown up? Well I assure you that I have seen plenty of so called taboo stuff as a youngster but we are educated to know what we see, which is wrong or right! We are trained to make right choices! We also see the Mother Theresa(s) of the world! If we are not shown the bad how the hell are we supposed to know what is bad? The reason for teenage pregnancies is because of narrow-minded parents not because of half naked girly ads for Christ sake!!!

Well, if these ads are on billboards, they have to pass community standards to be displayed in public. If U are talking about magazine advertisements, then U better find a better hiding place for them. Either that, or explain to your children what they see in the media (TV/magazines/movies) is not "reality" and advertisers try to help sell a product, by creating desire & not necessarily one that everyone desires or wants to see.

Well said. I agree. However, I think it is likely to worsen, and soon porn will be sold on the streets. Just kidding, but I seriously don't see the half naked models going away, nor the trendy fashions, or horrible celebrity parents...
Life has changed so drastically, and we just accept it. It is sad, pathetic, and discouraging.

Yes, the human body is definitely something we should all be ashamed of and conceal as much as possible...does the word "burqa" mean anything to you?
We should make it illegal for everyone to view, hear, taste, etc. everything that someone (anyone) else chooses to find offensive.
I think that would make the world a better place...total repression of of absolutely everything.

The human body is a beautiful thing and kids need to see that it's nothing to be ashamed of, but at the same time they need a guiding hand to understand that bodies come in all shapes and sizes.

Well, it seems to be the norm nowadaya. Nudity is no longer taboo in our society. Sadly, people are now EVEN MORE self conscious because of this. I don't know if it's necessarily a good thing.

There's currently an advert on SkyTV (UK) for Vigin Media, plugging the Star Trek series, (the new Star Trek) It shows two people against a blue lit background oiling eachother in a very sexual fashion. My son can't take his eyes off it and he's 10.
So yes, I agree with you.
