Please help me decide on which console to get and why? Please elaborate. Note, I also have a PS2.

Depends on what you are looking for. I personally have been a Nintendo fan since the beginning.
Wii is so much more interactive and overall healthier since you have to move around and not remain a couch potato. It also has the Zelda games and you can't go wrong there.
If you are looking for more mature, adult-type games, then go with the 360. It does everything but clean your bathroom. Not implying, however, that Wii doesn't have more adult games, but they tend to be more 'Everyone' and 'Teen' ratings.
Isn't there enough violence in the world? Food for thought.
Oh, and one big difference: Wii is considerably cheaper (and more fun in my opinion) than the 360.
Enjoy whichever you choose.

Well, from personal experience Wii is alot better than an Xbox 360. I only have a Wii and all my friends that have bought an Xbox 360 say theirs broke in the first few weeks. The Wii is like excercise without to much effort, plus the internet and other things, downloadable games from N64 etc. That's all I can say :D

well it quite depends on what your taste of games is... Do you like killing and violent games like most people or are you like me who enjoys kiddy things like Pokemon and mario? If you like what i like, buy wii. Even though i have strange taste in games, i still recomend the xbox 360 because it has excellent graphics, dvd player, etc... The games are also fun and Halo 3 has just been released so buying that should make you quite happy. I have a Wii... I don't play it much because it is only fun if you play with other peole and i have no one to play against :(

I just got a Wii this past SUNDAY....I LOVE IT. I AM 37 with no kids and hubby and I play every day! THE sports game is unreal.....you exercise.....swing at baseballs.....golf....for real...you can box....IT IS THE BEST. I can still go to work, but just barely!

Wii is much more fun and u can "exercise"
Xbox360: basically sucks... the best thing about it is good graphics and HALO 3!!!
