The engine started knocking after it died driving down the road. No check engine light, so therefore no computer codes. There is metal shavings in the bottom of the oil pan. It has 97,000 miles on it and a transmission replaced a year ago. I was told the engine's shot and that they're not good anyhow. Is it possible to replace this engine with an engine referred to as a "Hemmy" out of another Chrysler? And what modifications will have to be made?

The Hemi is available on rear wheel drive cars and trucks, no front wheel drive trans axle is available to fit this engine. Of course with enough money anything is possible but from a practical view this cannot be done.
