The Facts:

1) My girlfriend is pregnant.
2) First day of last menstrual period: 4/27/07 (also the day she stopped birth control)
3) This cycle was her first cycle on the patch, previous to that she had been on the pill.
4) We were very sexually active from 4/27-4/12.
5) She was with someone else, here forth referred to as "him", from 4/17-4/22 (4 times).
6) She was with me from 4/23-4/26.
7) Her HCG level was 333 on 6/4/07.
8) The first ultrasound had a date of 5/9/07 on it, which could have been the gestational age but the doctor knew the day of her LMP so I don't know why the machine would not have been programmed with this information.

9) The baby is a male.
10) When not on birth control, her cycle is usually 38 days.

My thoughts:

1) I thought HCG begins at implanation (8-10 days after conception).
2) I want the child to be mine.
3) This is the most stressful situation of my life.

If your girlfriend had her Last period on the 27th April and only had sex with you after that, I don't see how it could be anyone else's baby. I would say that the date of conception would have been the 9th May so that would mean you would be the dad. And the HCG level on the 4th June would be right for these dates and a due date around the 1st feb 08.

The only way to absolutely sure would be to have a paternity test taken after the baby is born. But i'm sure you are going to be a great dad.

best of luck

concept relationship isn't completely precise. Sperm can stay interior the physique from 3-5 days. How they calculate how a procedures a woman is via her final menstrual cycle, hcg stages, or an early ultrasound. If she says she is 4 weeks pregnant, which skill, concept became 2 weeks in the past. the 1st 2 weeks of being pregnant account for ovulation. while you're doubtful, ask to head to the medical expert jointly and get a paternity try after transport.

It can never be an exact science and all they can really go on is the date of the LMP. there is more of a chance that it is yours, but I don't see how going off dates could really tell you for sure.....you would need genetic testing.

I am so sorry for you to be in this situation. I'm sure it really sucks.

Hard to say take a paternity test hun... there is more of a chance it was yours just because you were with her the most fertile days but that doesn't mean anything everyone ovulates at a different time.

it is hard to really say, you might want to wait for the baby then do a DNA test that is the only way you can be for sure. Good luck
