believing in your self

Technically.

The Bible says in Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) that "...faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen." This means that you have (substance) what you are believing you have even though it may not yet be in your possesion/have occurred. Your faith is the evidence that it it a done deal; a fait accompli.

Let's use the example of not having all the funds I need to pay my rent. The God says in the Bible that he will supply my need (Phlippians 4:19 and Matthew 21:22, KJV) if I ask believing (in faith) and ask in Jesus' name (John 14:13, KJV), according to God's will (1John 15:14-15, KJV). I pray, knowing God will come through, and knowing my rent is paid. (See also, John 15:16 and John 16:23, KJV.)

So I know it will happen before it happens. My faith is my proof, as well as a sort of 'catalyst' for it to happen.

Hope I helped.
God bless you.

Yes, you have pretty much summed up the Biblical definition of Faith from Hebrews 11: 1.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

No faith is about causing the things to happen in the future. Faith is the intend you create to make the things happen. It is a believe which causes things to move in the universe. Everything thing in life is caused by you your intents, thoughts and then action. Faith is seed of the intent, with faith you can make things happen.

Yes, but remember knowing that something can happen doesn't always mean that it will happen - things happen in God's time not ours and sometimes we don't get the answer that we want.
Hope that makes sense. :-)

FAITH - is being sure of what you don't know & certain of what you cannot see.
