Other g/fs havent done this before and I wonder if my performance has declined recently.

If she can pick her nose and not give herself a nosebleed during sex you're just both really not giving it enough oomph!..
Safe sex to me is having a padded headboard and crash mat on the floor. Elbow and knees pads would probably be even better too..

Next time she does it stop get changed and get her a tissue and dont carry on just sit down wach some TV and tell her youll toss yourself off later and explain your reasons and talk to her..... Im sure shell get the picture x

Nah. I had a girlfriend that had a fetish for nose picking. I found that out, once when we were watching a movie. She caught me picking, and "Wowsers." She may just have that fetish.
