That's what attraction is about. Chances are someone you are heavily attracted to ("in love with") will be a pretty good genetic match - clever, hey?

I have a feeling you would be very dissappointed if you had a daughter, considering you're wanting a "Champion" son! If you want a "Champion" I suggest you get a pure-bred animal, instead of looking for a wife who is genetically superior. Are you genetically superior? If so, by what standards have you been assessed? By the way, what makes you think your "swimmers" will produce male offspring? Personally, I hope you don't reproduce, with that attitude! Children are blessings from God. Each one has it's own unique talents and blessings, whether the I.Q. is 50 or 250. Do some serious looking in the mirror and ask yourself if your parents landed a "Champion" son, when you were born. Better yet, ask them what they looked for in a mate! I will pray for you. You are going to need it!

Yes. There's no way you can realistically appraise her genes, first of all, and decide if they are good enough to raise a champion son. And second of all, it's not all genetics. Environment has a lot to do with things, as well.

First choose a wife who you can respect. Second, make sure she has the qualities to be a good mother. Then, you can look at her genetics.

I will say, love alone ruling is a pretty stupid idea. Love won't pay the rent. But love and a great person, all rolled up into one -- there's a champion idea!

well if you have a transhumanist perspective then id say your only wanting the best life for your offspring is acceptable and understandable. obviously tho youre putting something like a slight genetic advantage of your offspring above your own personal happiness.
good genes or not, if you dont like the woman youre not going to be happy no matter how much of a super son you have.
i guess if you were just going to pay someone to have your kid tho, then yea LOL

I think you are sort of being shallow. A champion son huh? Looks aren't everything, and you can't often get far on looks alone. You should pick a wife based upon love, and regardless what your child will come out to be, he or she will still be special, because they are your child.

You know, I've heard some ideas similar to that ... Oh yeah. Hitler. That whole 'Aryan Race' thing. Women forced to have sex with German men who were the Aryan ideal and give birth to the resulting offspring. What's next, online dating for the genetically superior?

Sounds like breeding dogs to me...If you love someone and want kids, you'd want to have kids with them no matter what. It shouldn't matter what their physical genetics are...I'm sorry but that is kind of shallow. You should have kids because you want to and marry who you love, not make a "pure-bred" champion blood line...

Those can't be the only choices: marry for genes or marry only for love.

Everyone finds their own balance of the two I guess.
