In a statistical chart done by U.S. reports, the more educated a person was the less chance he or she was to experience a divorce, live longer, and actually be more content with who they are and what they had.

Though this does not apply to everyone, the majority of people with a solid education and degree will be a bit more satisfied in things in life.

Honestly for the most part, I think that they do make better partners. Knowledge is power. Usually the more knowledge someone has, the more well rounded they are from talking classes in a bit of this or that....which is part of the reason colleges make you take things like sociology or psychology, even in small doses, when you are getting, say......an engineering degree. It makes you a more well rounded person. Now that being said, it's not any where near a 100% indicator of lasting relationships. but I have dated men of education and men who are illiterate (I didn't know for 9 months, as illiterate people are GOOD at hiding the fact and this man was in business for himself!) I now make CERTAIN that the man can read and write before we even begin to date. I will never go through the illiteracy issue again. It made life very hard on ME~~and since I am college educated, it draws me to men of the same caliber.

Educated person makes better life partner with another educated person because they will both know how to communicate and understand each other without acting immature. If you put an educated and uneducated person together , things won't work. So, i think it is true. Now...the vices play a big part in this too, but of course, an educated person will never have a vice who can ruin a relationship.:) They are smarter than that. So, yes, i think it is true, i saw cases and they lived happily ever after.

Society tends to think that education of the books
is what makes a better person, but with my ex-
perience , education about life makes a better
partner, I am educated with a degree but what I
learned from life's experience has educated me
more than any classroom, and that has managed
my marriage and that is why I and my wife are
happily married for over 20yrs.

I know that compassionate people make good life partners. I don't know if being highly educated translates into being a better person or life partner.

Silly question, honestly.

I have always taught my children that education is very important, but if you don't have any good common sense, then even the smartest person on earth could be the dumbest person too with out common sense.

Now if you are and educated person, it would fit you better to be suited with the same intellect, but are you a better life partner?

I would say NO.

A good life partner is one that shares your life and enjoys it with you, not explains how life should be!

I read previous answers and I say that both sides are right....

However to solve the mystery I will explain this :

People who have higher Emotional intelligence tend to understand more other people and theirs behaviors...so they live more harmonious life...

So according to me it doesn't matter the education..there are people who are not well educated yet have high Emotional intellegence, and people who are high educated but don't have the gift to understand the other people in this case their partners....

Good luck!

Just because you are educated does not mean you have wisdom and common sense. They do not teach that in school. It does not come in a book.

I would choose to be with someone that has wisdom from living life and learning it's lessons over someone who sat there and read a few books but had few personal experiences.
