its something that we were brought up to believe in...but i think it would be great if there is really a heaven and a hell...at least the good people we know will get their rewards and the people who has done bad things to us will be punished.

Disclaimer: this is in no way an offense against leslie....

When reading Leslie's description I become fearful for the many, many people in this world who are devout in their own beliefs and are good people but who do not embrace Christianity/Jesus as the Savior....Will they go to a Hell because of that? I choose to believe NOT.

Much like 'eyes.'...I have a higher power and that power resides in my home, in my heart and soul and guides me according to very basic principles of right and wrong....and forgives me when I am sincere about changing.

I believe in retribution - yet, lean toward that retribution occurring in this life, on this earth. 'What goes around comes around'.

If there is an afterlife of peace and love, I surely pray I can inhabit that cosmos- If not, I will continue to live as long as I am remembered by someone :-)

I totally rejected religion some time ago - about the same time that I discovered a higher power.

I had never been happy with the God that I knew could inflict such dire consequences on His people for what was only being human .......... ie homosexuality, dependency on their drug/drugs of choice, inability to show emotions ............. and a million and one other facets of human nature that religion would condemn us for - but which God had made us.

I believe that heaven and hell can be here on Earth.

I have no concept of an afterlife - I love Buddhism although my Christian upbringing cannot be erased from my soul and is in conflict with a lot of what I admire in other faiths.

So - I have distanced myself from all organised religion and instead will face my God and stand before him to hear FROM HIM/HER how I did down here!

If there is a heaven it is a farm where it never snows and if there is a hell it is London!

Only the sons of perdition will be cast into outer darkness. Even the wicked will be physically resurrected and eventually go to a better place. The hellfire, brimstone, and lake of fire, will be within them and burn in their bosom eternally, knowing the truth, where they could have been and where they are. The weeping wailing and gnashing of teeth, will be, because of those choices they made, being shut off from the presence of our Father. Many who think they are righteous will find the error of their ways when they stand before the judgment seat and find they must confess to falsely accusing and condemning Father's righteous and professing to be holier than they.

Only those who have accepted Jesus as their savior and taken on His name enough to take up His sword and live in all ways, to the best of their ability, by every word that He has uttered, will enter into Father's presence.

There is no just Heaven and Hell. Jesus told us that In His Father's house there are many mansions. We will all find our place.

You need to read the bible for your answer. NO ONE on yahoo can answer that, some people think they are God and know what God thinks, tho they are well meaning, only God will decide. Look around you take a deep breath of fresh air, this is the only planet where you can breath without oxygen strapped on your back, who supplied that fresh air?

I believe in Heaven and Hell, what we/they deserve is God's judgement.

God gave us the rules to live by. Jesus taught us what is needed to get to Heaven. Your choice one way or the other.

The Bible says it is not about good or bad. Your eternal destiny is decided by whether or not you accept God's salvation through Jesus Christ. Those who accept the holiness given to them through Jesus will exist in heaven. Those who reject Jesus and spurn His gift of holiness will exist in a permanent separation from God in hell. God is holy. I am not. The only way I can be with God is for me to become holy. The only way that happens is through Jesus' death and resurrection.

It's never been about my performance. It's always been about the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

This one could turn a bit angry , so I will answer lightly and say I am not a blind believer, but I don't disbelieve either. Hope that makes sense to you.

I leave it to a Higher Power to decide but I do think you go where you expect to go.
