I believe I have just dispelled the belief that bananas grow on trees.
Which is something I did not know myself until I looked it up?
Thanks for the question you have just helped me add to all of the trivia that clutters my mind. lol!

Where do bananas grow?
Bananas do not grow on trees. They grow on plants that are giant herbs and are related to the lily and orchid family.
Bananas trees are not trees. The banana plant is a giant herb.

well i live in hawaii and yes bananas grow on trees. and if you have one banana tree get ready to have a yard full they grow very fast.
