Buy a 5 gallon drum of lube oil (its cheaper that way) and you will have plenty for a couple of oil changes and topping up in between. Our local P.O. keeps Duckhams "Fleetol",which is suitable for most engines.

SR3's are used in narrowboats as well - very common - so any inand waterways marina will know the answer, just call your nearest.

Canalworld's forums have lots of lister people on there, i've seen questions about oil changes ./ problems starting engines after the oil change ( you might want to read them ! )

Also, canal junction forums are very good,t hey will know instantly:

What does the maintenance book say?

Is there a boat repair facility nearby? Could you ask there?

You could also try asking Marine Engine Services at Uxbridge 01895 236246. info@marineengine.co.uk
