Goodbye, it's been a pleasure, thank you, mucho gusto, adios, til we meet again, I have enjoyed knowing you, are all things that I may say. When I have known a person for awhile and am certain I will not see them again in this life, I like to recall a particular time when that person and I enjoyed a good laugh, or a special insight, and we celebrate that a bit.

How do you know that you will never see the person again? you never know what might happen, but no, when you turn around and walk away from someone even just for an hour, something could happen to you or to them then how will you feel knowing that you didnt say goodbye. the word itself doesnt mean anything but its just a farewell till next time.

Always say good bye like you will never see them again because you might not see them again

No... you should always say "Goodbye" to someone... I mean, what if they walked out the door and got hit by a truck and killed? You'd never see them again, but you didn't know that beforehand, so technically you never would have gotten to say goodbye.

I have never liked saying goodbye but if it's a situation where I'm sure I won't be seeing them again for whatever reason, then I say goodbye to have closure!!

Nope. I say it whenever I am leaving a person or they're leaving me. Oh, not always, but lots of times.

Whether I'll see them again or not doesn't matter.
