I was having tummy time with my five week old baby boy today and when I put him on his back I noticed that he had two wet spots on his sleeper where his nipples are... This has not happened before... I have heard of witch's milk and that a baby when first born could lactate but I would think at five weeks he would be beyond this?? Is this still normal or should I be calling my doctor? I have an appt with her in a week so I will be sure to mention it then but, I'm just a little concerned and wanted to know if I should be calling her sooner as this might not be normal?
P.S. I am breastfeeding him...

yes this is totally normal sweet, your hormones will still be running through the baby from when he was in your womb, and the fact that you are breastfeeding as well, well your hormones are passing through into your son.
dont get worried this is totally normal whinni, i know its hard not to worry about your little man but he'll be fine the same happened to me daughter and it did,t stp till she was bout 7.5 weeks old.

congrats on the birth of your precious little boy....x

Its normal lol. Just caused from the moms hormones and it will go way eventually. My brothers son had the same thing and he was the one to discover it and he freaked out lol. Also sometimes baby girls bleed like they were having a period. Also caused from hormones leftover from mom. Also i think my nephew was a full 2 months old or older before it went away. But any time you are concerned about something ask the doctor better to be safe than sorry.

babies get a lot of their mum's hormones - baby girls can have 'periods' - and at 5 weeks, even though it feels like you've had him for ages, he's still quite new.

i'm sure it's not a big medical problem at all, but mention it at that apppointment you have and I'm sure the doc will put your mind at rest.

i wouldnt worry about it unless its alot. just keep an eye on him and wait until next week. i dont think all babies outgrow it right away, but if your that concerned call your doctor or a nurse.

I have not heard of this! it's kinda weird and interesting all at once. I would call your doctor about it.. just to be safe. it could be what you think it is.. or it could be he's got an infection of some kind.

I have breastfeed both of my girls (I only have girls) and that has never happend to them.
