I don't really think so, unless they were prone to lying beforehand. My brothers a policeman here in Australia and he's a sergeant now through hard work and honesty. He was ostrised for letting the Bosses know what his boss was up to. The left phone books on his desk open at the dog kennels or rspca etc., tried to set him up and all, but, the truth of the matter is that it was being taped, so the framer, was caught in their own web. Since then he has had depression and is on medication, only does desk work etc., but apparently the statistics for policeman ending up alcoholics or commiting suicide is very high. They see alot of bad things in their careers, and whilst they train you to be detached, it still affects you, nobody can turn off just like that and stay sane, they have feeling too and don't need all the harrassment they get, after all, when you're in trouble who do you call, yet other times the're called pigs etc., they are all someones son or daughter and just because they want to help the community they become subjected to abuse. I'm sure their are bad cops out there and I hope I'm not being naive in thinking that the good ones out weigh the bad, anyway, I hope this helps you, Goodluck!!!
