I found one website that said this:
"There is something called "blood on the moon" and that is when there is a large red ring around the moon giving it a red appearence. The moon will pass completely into the shadow of the Earth producing a striking total lunar eclipse. The total phase throws an eerie reddish color across the face of the moon. The Earth's atmosphere acts like a prism, bending a little sunlight into the shadow and giving it a copper tint. In essence, what falls on the eclipsed moon is the light of all the sunsets and sunrises on Earth."
It's also something that's suppose to happen before the 'end of days' in the Bible. "The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes”"

Well, Ive never seen a blood moon before but they call it a blood moon in lunar eclipses. It means the end but its turns blood red they think its a warning because blood is a sign of something dead but the last blood moon is the end of the world.
Well if your wondering why. I will tell you.
Q. Why is there a blood moon at the end of the world?
A. a blood moon can do horrible things but its very rare

Atmospheric conditions can tint the moon a blood-red color that can tie in (or not) to turbulent weather. What scares most people is the passage from The Book of Revelation which speaks of 'the moon turning to blood...' It helps if you know that Revelation is not referring to the actual celestial satellite that we know as our moon; when Revelation speaks of the 'moon' it is referring to the Church or early body of Christian believers. The 'stars that fell from the sky' are bishops or leaders of the Church who apostated rather than be tortured by enemies of the Church. The Church itself was so severely persecuted that it turned to... Blood. As our moon reflects the light of our sun so does the Church reflect the Truth of Christ. So this is why Revelation refers to the Church in code as: The moon.
Best.

Lunar eclipses often turn the moon a red color rather than blotting it out completely. As for the end-times nonsense, it was genius to include that...as most lunar eclipses turn the moon a reddish color. It would be like saying, the end of the earth will be heralded by clouds in the sky. Well, thanks, that was specific. Just a way for them to add pretend-credibility.
