Getting to the root of something tend to stop them from growing.

That is great if you are killing weeds , lousy if you are tending roses.

There is a time to check the roots and times when you should let them stay packed and moist and full of life.

You have to ask what time is this?

Is this planting season or not.

If you move a plant to soon it will die on you.

If you wait until the climate is more to your liking the bush will continue to blossum and you will be happier in the long run.

Trust me.

I learned from a master gardener.

History tends to repeat itself, even personal history, unless we can really see the cause behind the effect. This is where many people make their mistake when dealing with personal issues & trying to get past them. Putting it behind us is always the end result we strive for, but being the complex creatures we are, it will require that we be willing to "go hunting" & find what led to the problem to begin with. This recognition might be painful at times, but it always leads to acceptance & then the ultimate "putting it behind us" by having the knowledge necessary to not have to repeat the same mistakes. Thanks for a great question.

Although it IS important to get to the root of it sometimes, I ALWAYS make it a habit to put it behind me..........Unless we were talking about Paris Hilton just then.

Attempt to get to the root, whether you fail or succeed you still should put it behind you.

Depends on the seriousness of the situation, sometimes it's better just to put it behind us.

It depends.

If the issue / matter is trivial ( if the matter doesn't matter), it is better to put it behind us!

When the issue / matter is of importance ( when the matter really matters) to our existence, well-being, growth & salvation, it is better to get to the root of the matter!

To know which one the issue is, we need wisdom & grace!

What has passed has gone, we had better put it behind us. Life is too short to hold grudges.
