An "optimist" is a person who finds something "wonderful" about the happenings in "life." No matter what occurs in this world, this person can find something "joyful" in the occurrences about him/her. An "introvert" is a person who tends to be more to him/herself. This is not a "bad thing." Whereas, an "extrovert" is a person who is "very outgoing and mixes well with many kinds of personalities." All of these various types of person are fine. As long as either type is personable, this would be all that is necessary to "get along" with the general public. Everyone out there is different. This is what keeps it all "working well." If we were all the "same", then life would be so "boring." I wish everyone well in out public arena. Peace, Love and God Bless.

When unjustified stereotyping is removed from the picture I would imagine that you'll find equal amounts of both personality types being optimistic or pessimistic.

Think about it this way: Sometimes overly optimistic people are only seeming so, are only putting up a false facade to disguise their insecurities (inner pessimism). Likewise, some outwardly pessimistic people use this psychological device to temper their real optimism, to keep it grounded.

So, an extrovert can just as easily be a true optimist as be a true pessimist. Just as an introvert can just as easily be either.

What you present to the world and what you really are aren't always so black and white.

Do not generalise. The apparant Optimism yousee in an inrtovert shall often be a situation arising from incpacity, weakness or inability. On the contrary, the apparant pessimism you see in an optimist or extovert could very well be creative and instructive. Perhaps your question suffers from the fallacy of 'too narrow definition' since you seem to be putting things in to water tight compartments, thus making it reductionistic.

there's no good analyze information of a correlation between bipolar sickness and "getting faith" interior the middle years. A bipolar sickness is an affective sickness (e.g., substantial temper swings) and isn't any longer oftentimes linked with a thought sickness or delusions except one takes place to be experiencing a manic state or severe melancholy (even then no longer inevitably). those with schizophrenia, schizo-affective sickness, and a few of you greater severe character issues (e.g., schizoid, borderline, schizotypal) would have a thought sickness, delusions, and auditory hallucinations. each so often (yet no longer each and all of the time), their idiosyncratic ideals have sturdy religious institutions. the 1st "psychotic ruin" normally happens interior the previous due young human beings to early 1920s. curiously, there's a physique of analyze which shows a sturdy association between psychological well being and a feeling of spirituality or faith. the genuine DSM IV "acid-try" is on the subject of the implications. Does it inhibit or compromise social/vocational/interpersonal functioning in some significant way? If no longer, it would not be seen pathological. In different words, there's no longer something inherently pathological on the subject of the stunning perception which you met an angel. the consult from no remember in case you and thousands and thousands of theistic "others" are deluding yourselves or no longer, will probable in no way be thoroughly settled. it would be plenty greater effectual to concentration on your point of functioning and not be too caught up in labels like "bipolar" this is usually over clinically determined and shall we no longer go overboard with the belief of "magical thinking". A perception in a vist from an angel isn't sufficient to qualify. (it is comming from an atheistic-leaning agnostic). Plus, all of us have some diploma of magical thinking. good success!

Not in my experience. I guess there could be sort of a correlation between believing that people are basically good, and introversion, though. I mean, people who are optimistic about human nature are that way because they believe *themselves* to be basically good. And in my estimation, introversion or close examination of inner life would make people more likely to conclude that they themselves are good.
