I bought a couple of movies from my mom's laptop sometime ago but her laptop broke down and i want to get those movies into my desktop.

If the movies are still in your iPod from your mom's computer, plug it into your computer and your iTunes will put your video into it.
But you have to be sure that the iTunes purchase is from your account, not your mom's. Otherwise it will not work.

Hi. You can authorize up to 5 computers. Just authorize it. Copy the files from the old drive by installing it in (or wired to) the new machine. Make sure the MA and SL jumpers are set properly.

You cannot transfer them. You have to burn them to cd. I don't know if you can burn movies but I believe you should be able to since you bought them. Otherwise call apple to see if they can resend you the link. I know music you must burn them to transfer them.
