I've had this 19" LCD monitor for about a year now and starting 2 weeks ago the screen would become garbled up with weird graphics after having it on for about 5 minutes. The connection between the computer and LCD are snug so I don't believe it is a connection issue. I have traced the problem to something in the LCD monitor, but don't know how to fix it.

Sometimes the screen would turn green and have lines streaking all across it erratically. Then after a few seconds, it would return back to normal. Then it would fade to some weird colors again. I'm about ready to toss out that LCD, if it can't be fixed.

I'm guessing it's a hardware failure. A temporary workaround I've been using is to turn off the LCD for a couple of seconds, then turning it back on.

Any ideas?

I might be screwed because I think this company went out of business. I can't track down the vendor information for 'Balance' I purchased this from Walmart a ways ago and I knew that I was taking a risk by going with a 'no-namer' brand.

Hi. This is almost always a cable connection problem. If the cable is snug try a new or borrowed cable. Replace if necessary.

If you have warranty, I would just have the manufacturer check it out. When that happend to one of my screens at work, I also thought it was the cable and replaced that. But I still got the same problem. I ended up sending to the manufacturer and they replaced the screen. They said it was some circuit going bad.
