Yep, I named my son Noah Aidan before Aidan became popular and now I want to shoot people for naming theri kids that. It was a very uncommon name when I used it. That was what I was going for :(

I think you're right. Use the name as a middle name but not a first. A girl I work with just gave birth yesterday and named him Aiden. It's so over-used as a first name it's sickening.
My child's name will be Brandon Aidan but that's because I chose it last year when I was prego, but unfortunately miscarried.

What so you'd rather we named our kids "Rachelia" or "Rainbow" or something else strange and uncommon? They are over-used because they are pretty and that's why we name our kids that. It's up to th parent to name their kids so why don't you butt out and just concentrate on naming your own kids not everybody elses.
Oh and just because those names are popular where you live doesn't mean they are popular everywhere. I have only ever met in my entire life...
1 Aiden
0 Caden
2 Madison
3 Hannah
1 Grace
And none were ever in the same class as they were all different age groups!

I used to hate having a a name that is so common - Sarah. But now I'm thankful that at least it's a classic, timeless, never gonna go out of style name, unlike the ones you mentioned. I'm especially sick of Madison!!

To be honest none of these names are popular here. I only know 2 grace's and 1 hannah. It sort of depends where you live.

my son's name is Aiden and where i live i hadn't heard he name before, but ever since i named him that variations have been pooping up all over the place. But who really cares, he IS unique and would be if his name was John. What's in a name anyway?
popping not pooping lol

Good point. Good thinking. Never jump on the band wagon. Be different, unique, stand out. Be exotic.
