It is going like this , making a bad comment or a crude remark on anyone is always having flaw that anytime anyone can do the same thing to you

people in same predicament as somebody else should not pass judgement or attack the other because they are equally as open to judgement and attack from somebody else. If I throw a stone at someones glass house they are more likely to throw one at mine and smash it

I thought these verses addressed your question in a form of a story from the Bible.

The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"

"No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

It means that you shouldn't tell tales or talk about other people and what they get up to. When you know that their are things in your life that you wouldn't want everyone is know about.

It's a good saying, I believe it tells one how to handle delicate situations...a soft touch is required with sensitive matters at hand...

You shouldn't criticize others, because you're flawed as well. People say it one one person insults someone the person saying it means to say you have flaws as well.
