You need to look into your legal rights. The school is responsible for identifying the problem and addressing it, no matter what it takes. Federal laws require this. Find an advocate who can help you with a Individualized Education Plan for your child. You can ask the school for a meeting IMMEDIATELY to develop a plan for your child's success in school... it helps to have an advocate however, as it can be an intimidating process. They have to provide the treatment, school aides, and whatever it takes to help your child be successful. they don't usually want to provide these services, so you may have to fight for them. You can ask them to refer you to an advocate....they have to give you information!! good luck.... you will eventually become a very good advocate yourself. the law is on your side!! I have attached one site to get you started.

I don't know what area you live in but for information I would try Monarch Boarding Academy part of Bellefaire Jewish Organization located in University Hts., Ohio. Check with the school psychologists they should be able to refer you to someone or place. Hope this helps

Try the Easter Seals site. They have locations all over and do quite a bit of therapy and support for people with autism.

Your local school should provide services for your son. If you are having problems getting the services you need, here is a non-profit organization in Texas that helps parents get the schools to provide the necessary services. Sometimes you have to fight to get the schools to provide services.

I urge you to call around in your phone book. You can look into goggle to check the right place to go. You need to stimulate your son at all time and you also make him his priority in your life. Then you will feel better in a long run.
