You will probably get the best money by selling them at Half.com or Amazon.com. It's very easy to set up a selling account at either.

note: I prefer used books with notes and highlights in them. Especially if they were used at the same school I'm in. You'd be amazed at how many exams cover exactly what that last person highlighted. ☺

Usually, yes. Some students prefer to buy used books that already have notes and highlighting since they can use that to help them along. Of course that only works if the person who had the book last was a good student! Worry more about mangling the spine or water damage. Stuff like that will get your books refused.

School buybacks generally don't care about the condition of the book unless it's in visibly heavy distrssed condition (i.e. burned); you get paid the same amount for a clean shrinkwrapped book you never even opened as you would for a heavily highlighted book!
