yes, it can which is why they say don't read the test after 5-10 minutes (depending on test) if it is truly a positive, the line won't go away but if it is a negative a line CAN appear hours later and it shouldn't be taken as a true positive.

You can get a false positive if you read the results too late. You may see a line, but it's from evaporation (drying out) of the fibers and chemicals on the test stick. Check the directions of your test. They'll usually say not to read the results after 10 minutes, but yours may be slightly longer. It's definitely not going to be accurate after an hour or two, no matter which brand it is.

that second line is an evaporation line not to be taken for possitive when u are pregnant it takes like 3 seconds for that 2nd line to appear and it never took me the whole 3 minutes to see the poss result. after 3 minutes do not read that get a nother test in a few days if u r negative

It depends on what kind you took. I had a pregnancy test end up positive 2 hours after I took it, but I knew I wasnt pregnant. So yeah it can happen.
