Yeah, but if you change your mindset to one of " I'm just going to enjoy the ride for as long as takes me, and where ever it takes me". You'll be MUCH happier when the relationship ends!

Yes I dated this Japanese girl who was an exchange student. I feel so in love with her, she was the most beautiful, sweet person I had ever met. We dated for a year until she had to go home to Japan. I am still sad when I think about it. I knew it would end, but I could not help falling in love with such a wonderful girl. I would do it all over again if I could, except this time I would try to spend even more time with her than I did. It is sad when that happens. It is almost like you lose a part of yourself.

Yes and it really does. But for us it is a large age difference, she thinks its ok but I keep thinking of all those years after I am gone that she will either be alone or will be looking for a new partner. Hopefully she will find someone else soon. For me it is fulfillment enough just to have known her. She has made a real difference in my life.

Yes. I knew it would end before it started. Lasted a year. We both were to blame but I did the ending part. I still miss her after 7 months but could never go back. Its complicated.

Edit. But we had a hell of a lot of fun. :-)

I do believe I am in one now. I love the man to death but there are certain qualities I just cannot live with. I do not want to lose him but I know I will have to give him up. I feel for you.

yeah, it sucks..esp when the only thing that binds you together is your love for him, you know hes trying to shake you off, but becsue youre just so d@amn in love you refuse to see his signs, you keep on holding on to that rope though you know there is noone at the end of it.
