There was a wave of protests and a public outcry against this humorous ad! Can anyone tell me what is so wrong about it? I loved it and actually went to Carl Jr the next day to try the flat buns... they were delicious!

I honestly have no idea why this ad would be considered so offensive that there are protests. I have seen commercials that are far more sexist and racist that no one cares about. Some people just need to complain for some reason.

Work it out for Yourself by trying this as an example. How would You like to have Your face on the cover of a packet of 'cocktail wieners'? Good for the ego and social life? I hope that the hamburgers taste better than the taste shown by the advertising agency that foisted this dross upon Us. Luckily We don't have this chain of fast food here in Australia.

Where they? Feminists made a "public outcry" over that? I hadn't heard...do you have a source so that I can get up to speed? Thanks.
Edit-I hate Sex and the City

What does a stripping teacher have to do with burgers? Carl's Jr. needs to remind themselves exactly what they're trying to market.

Well, I think it may be that not so much feminists hate it as fat bunned women do but I guess I really can't say, being a tight-bunned girly girl... anyway I thought it was cute.

I see it more as a racist ad.
Seriously, a room full of white kids rapping about how they like flat buns.
Kinda leaves the deep-bootay sistahs out in the cold.
Regardless, I'm gonna get one of these tomorrow.

I'm not aware that any specific group hates this ad. However, I do think it is rather inappropriate in light of all the recent scandals involving female teachers having sex with their male students.

I wasn't offended, I thought it was funny. It's obviously a parody of hip hop videos, with the overt, unnecessary sexuality. Amusing!
Now, the commercials that grate on MY nerves are the Axe and Tag body spray commercials. "Smell good, and women will want to have sex with you!"
Men aren't really that stupid, are they? "I started smelling good and as a result, I had a new girl in my bed every weekend!" Is there a guy out there who actually thinks this? Please, God, tell me there's not a guy out there who actually thinks this...

I have a lot of problems with it, but it has nothing to do with feminist issues. What does a teacher gyrating on her desk have to do with selling a hamburger?

Anything which depicts women as being sexy is, according to feminists, encouraging a sexualization of women and is a part of the "backlash against feminism" (everything is a part of the backlash against feminism tho).
