My dad met his wife online; of course they spoke on the phone and visited before that.

Life online is more advanced than it used to be.

My best friend met someone online in a christian chat room. They've been happily married for several years now. She said the positive thing about meeting online is that you have to talk and communicate and really get to know each other, since you can't just sit quietly in a movie theater or go based on looks.

There have been some people online who made a good impression on me.

But I know that people's opinions can change when you meet someone in real life.

So, I don't think it's possible to fall in love online.

Contacting someone online just makes you fantasize about that person...

Or it makes you feel bad, because you are not in the same league as such person...

Or it makes you envy such person for the life s/he has...

On-line relationships are fine and they are here to stay.

I know of one woman who met her man right here at Yahoo!Answers. They visit each other in "real" life.

I have read stories where some have married after having an on-line relationship. Some even from Yahoo!.

It is possible. I do believe that.

Yeah someone I know didn't really fall in love with a guy but she pretended as if she did because she did like him alot. After she told him the truth he threatened to commit suicide and actually said he was cutting his wrists while talking to her lol...It wasn't funny at the time but like a week later after my friend worried half to death that she may have been the cause of someone's death he emailed her saysing he was sorry and that he loved her and jsut kissing up...She stopped talking to him after that incident and from that experience I learned to never trust any guy on the net.

Sorta, I started talking to my ex on line. But I soon after found out that I worked with his sister, that changed the situation a bit and made me willing to pursue him. If I hadn't of had a connection it wouldn't have happened.

is hard and it's a fake love, my opinion, watch out for the player on here, don't trust all the thing they tell you even it sounds so real, they might be a very good beautiful liar just like to fool you around.

I have no idea what I'm doing, but I think I'm starting to fall for someone. My brother met his wife online, they talked for two years before they met face to face.

* I know of two couples & both are progressing through the normal channels of two people coming together!
I would think you would want to make sure you can handle a few diversities that you wouldn't have if you were together physically!*
