As soon as the American people start realizing that they have to take charge of their government. And, as soon as they realize that super charged corporate Capitalism is killing democracy maybe they will get up off the couch and do something about it. Until then, the corporations basically own our government. As corporate Capitalism grows, the more democracy and liberties shrink.

No you'll by no means have an excessive amount of liberty. What humans fail to detect is that with each correct comes a accountability. That's what makes them a correct and no longer a privilege. Brad - Lol I'm no longer certain if I will have to take that as a praise or an insult. Please enlighten me. Ahh. Thank then you definitely. I used to be establishing to wonder whether there used to be a flaw within the common sense that I could not see. ______________________________________... Sam T., his factor is legitimate. Systems like socialism use a "compulsive" motion if you would like to conform whether or not that be within the style of fines or imprisonment. Now feel of the matters that may occur to you in jail for non compliance. You can also be overwhelmed, stabbed, raped. and so on. So compulsion is relatively a veiled risk of violence. People could like to disclaim that their nation makes use of torture and rape rooms to preserve the population in examine. But is not that precisely what a jail does? The mere act of compelling any person inherently tramples that folks liberties. You can't drive any person to conform via beginning threats of violence and nonetheless preserve the belief that liberty and same rights are being covered. ... Just to elucidate my factor amidst the anarchy dialogue. The life of prisons can be utilized as a right role of govenment, I am no longer honestly towards them. Remember, each correct comes with a accountability. If you employ your rights to abuse the rights of any person else. You have forfeited you rights and the broken occasion is also due remediation or recourse. It has now come to be your accountability to furnish redress. It used to be of the ones precise demands, that, as our founding fathers positioned it: "Governments are instituted amongst Men" There is continuously a necessity of a few style of governance in view that the correct quantity of presidency guarantees highest liberty for all. You simply ought to be aware on how such associations are getting used. That is your accountability. I feel what will get libertarian minded humans branded anarchists. Is that to ensure that others to have an understanding of this notion. You need to first deal with the disinformation and incorrect information that humans will have believed to be real all thier lives. However humans will percieve such challanges as an assault at the social order while actually it's fairly to the opposite. What libertarians relatively desire is their Republic again. Any character who could state that they're of a anarcho/libertarian persuasion appears to be lacking thier possess factor. It's a contradiction in phrases.

That is a goal to reach for. As a practical matter it isn't even a possibility at this time. At this time the best we can do is refine a just process. But the best process we have doesn't always result in fairness and it has to be constantly "tweaked". For example, if someone frames you for a crime so that all the evidence that can be found points to you, the best process we have (trial by jury) will probably send you to jail. The process was as just as we can make it, but the result wouldn't be justice.
Keep striving and keep tweeking.
There are also dilemmas whereby we have to be unjust to one person to be just to another. The whole abortion debate is about that for those who are prochoice but also believe the unborn are persons, and also for many prolifers. I am prolife but I don't think it is just to force a woman to endure an unwanted pregnancy for 9 months. The best tweak I can come up with is to develop nonlethal pregnancy termination technology so the unborn can be removed alive from unwilling mothers.
Another dilemma is that the military (and sometimes police) weapons that protect justice for us can and do also kill innocent people. The tweak I suggest there is to develop effective nonlethal weapons.
Either development is years away apparently, so justice for all is not possible at this time.

The supreme court was designed to "interpret" the constitution, bill of rights, and even the pledge of allegiance. In this case, if they did not interpret that liberty and justice for all is being fulfilled, something would be done about it, but as of now, they do interpret it that way. But your question doesn't ask for their interpretation, it asks for yours. I do not know your background or what you understand liberty and justice for all to be, but I can make an inference as to my environment and political knowledge. We can say that laws themselves infringe on our liberty, but they are just to ensure justice. Now justice, on the other hand, can be mis"interpreted". Justice is to be taken care of in a court of law, and again it can go all the way to the supreme court in a constitutional, or federal document matter. But as we know people can be framed and we have seen people put away for crimes they did not commit. In fewer words, in some interpretations, "liberty and justice for all" will never be absolute in the US, but our liberties "should" only be infringed upon for our protection and justice may never be absolute due to varying viewpoints. (never)

When we understand that "liberty and justice" as well as rights enumerated in the Constitution, are for PEOPLE, not for classes of people or special interest groups or any particular race, creed, color, religion, or any other way one might choose to categorize people.
We get closer each time a constitutionalist judge is appointed to the Supreme Court.

As government grows, liberty shrinks. Unfortunately many do not understand this so government grows. As for justice, there are two kinds, cosmic and achievable. Cosmic justice is the sense that good always vanquishes evil and where there is a hungry child there is injustice. This will never be realized with finite resources. Achievable justice is fairness to all under the law. Too bad so many seem to aim at cosmic justice by adding more and more laws, thereby undercutting achievable justice.

liberty and justice for all are high ideals which our founding fathers aspired our country to attain. We continue to strive to meet those goals despite partisanship and infighting. Great gains have been made, more remain to be made. We may never obtain this prefect state, but is says a lot for us as a nation that we continue to strive to meet this ideal.

Until mankind, as a whole, reaches a higher level of "morality", through evolving, or being re-born (as in reincarnation), or just through--finally--realizing that we are all ONE, I don't see it happening. It's a lovely dream, and it is certainly something worth striving for, but I don't think the US will last the millenia that it will take to see real love from humanity to humanity!!

This concept can never be accomplished no matter where we live. There is no such thing as a free lunch. The good for one person will always be done at the expense of another.
