Complement them on what ever they are bragging about then say the only thing better would be if " ". Example I made 100 on the test Wow that is fantastic, it would be nice if that test really mattered in the big scheme of things in life. OR I got a 5% pay increase. "Awesom, too bad it was not the maximum 7% like everyone else!
The one I love the most is this though. "Someone says "I got tickets to the football game this weekend" I say cool, after attending the National Championship in 94' no game compares, so I just watch it on TV! Have fun with it!

It's always this type a person I allow to brag themselves into a mistake..which always happens. They look so moronic that it's hilarious. Noone's perfect but they think they are.

Well, I married mine. He just never stops. He did have some accomplishments, but he never lets anyone outshine him. I'm a firm believer that it isn't necessary to extinguish the other guy's candle in order to let your own light shine, so this is a sore subject for me right now, actually.

It is called arrogance, and it runs a very close second to laziness, I strongly detest it. It is definitely an extremely unattractive trait to have. HEY EVERYBODY, LOOK AT ME I'M SO HOT AND THAT MAKES ME SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE ON PLANET EARTH!!

Pretend to listen but actually ignore them. Braggards are usually very insecure people who need attention. If you ignore them long enough they usually go away or become good friends.

i don't like people who are always bragging
i think it's tacky
so i just don't be around them
i like feeling happy too much to put up with a lot of bull*hit

I don't do anything. Bragging doesn't bother me or affect me in any way, but if I think somebody is lying about something, I'll call their bluff.

Yes, my sister is like that. I think she suffers from low self esteem. I tend to avoid people like that.

brag about your self it shuts them up .but i usually ignore them
