The first rapper I listened to on the radio was Dre (The Next Episode). I don't quite remember it, but when I listened to it again, 3 months ago, I recognised it. So I guess, I had listened to it long ago. But the first rapper that appealed to me, and made me listen to Hip-Hop, was Coolio, with Gangsta's Paradise.

The first group that really got me into rap, and into music in general (I didn't really listen to any particular style of music before that) was D12. It was in the summer, and I had just finished grade 5, and their Devil's Night album had come out that year. I didn't really know what D12 was before that, but I asked the guy selling them for something good. D12 (Especially Eminem) are still one of my favourite rappers.

Rap is not my forte but I did listen to some stuff back in the mid 90's. I used to listen to Tupac and Bone Thugs N' Harmony and Snoop, when he was just getting started. I do not listen to it anymore though.
