I'm a waver/sign holder for Little Caesars Pizza standing outside by the road waving at people as they go by. Well every since I took this job I've been having severe problems with constipation. I've been eating raisin bran, whole wheat sandwiches, chili with some hot sauce in it, drinking as much as 5 cups of water when able, and eating whatever my mom makes occassionally to try and relieve the constipation. None of these seem to be working. I'm am able to pass some gas here and there, but that's all. I work in the evenings 3PM to 8PM or 4PM to 8PM. I think the sun may be causing me to dry out, but I'm not able to quit my job cause I need it right now to pay rent and car insurance. Any ideas to help me get my bowels a moving again will be greatful cause I can't afford to end up in the hospital cause of this. Note I have some disabilities that prevent me from working any other jobs then this one. I have ADHD, learning disability and a touch of OCD.

One other thing I failed to mention is after drinking just one cup of water in 1 to 2 hours I pee the entire thing cup of water out. None of it seems to be getting to my bowels to moisten them. Right now apparently my stools are so hard there not moving at all.

well right now, lets concentrate on getting you some relief, start w/a suppository or an enema, from a local drug store or Wal mart , k-mart etc, then get some fiber drink, metamucil even has a generic.
then lets get a laxative, to work you from the insideout, & get the rest out, now ,
try milk of magnesia, it's really good to get an impaction or constipation out, not to use too often.
then if you need an occassional laxitive, use the vegetable based, w/the sennacies 8 mg. that 's a generic for senacot.(the name brand cost a fortune) .
& the water intake needs to go waaaaaaaaaaay up Yes, being outdoors could ddry yu up, but that isnt enough anyway drink at least 8-10 glasses a day, (i go for a gallon!)
i hope this helps.
good luck.

Get a fiber supplement like metamucil and take this 2-3 times a day. If you stools are hard use colace aka docusate twice a day. You can get these at any walmart or grocery store. You need to eat better with more fresh fruits and veggies. Keep fresh veggies or fuit in your pocket to eat when you are at work and for your snacks. Drink prune juice daily or eat prunes. Sit on the toilet for 5 minutes every single day after you eat breakfast to try to get your bowels retrained even if you don't go. If you haven't had a decent BM by the third day then use a suppository. Also your disabilities DO NOT prevent you from working other jobs. You can do anything you set your mind to.

Yes if I were you I would try the Fleet enema, like foofy said. I went for surgery and was told to buy 2 bottles. On the bottle it says to take a tablespoon but I was instructed to drink the whole bottle one night and the second the next day. I wasn't constipated to begin with but it sure flushes you out fast, I was empty by morning, the second bottle was just torture, lol. After that you should continue with Metamucil or a similar produce on a daily basis. It will lubricate your intestines and there will be no straining when you go. Some people are proned to this condition but I believe diet can help. Also something I've been reading about a lot lately is cleansing your liver. Your liver is effected by your stress or the other way around too, you can be depressed because of a sluggish liver. It just sounds like a good tune up a couple times a year for everyone.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.
According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

I know you said you can't go to the doctor, but that calls for a doctor appointment. Constipation as severe as that means you need to get that checked out. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but I think it's for the best. You can ask your job if they can give you paid leave. Tell them you have an emergency sickness (you don't have to tell them that you are constipated, just tell them you have a severe sickness). If you have no choice but to tell them, just tell them you have very bad stomach problems.

i had some experience in this. Laxatives, enemas, etc. do not work. If you are drinking water and still not having a bowel movement then you may have an electrolyte imbalance, if that is the case then drinking water will only make it worse. Drink pedialyte to correct the imbalance and eat bread with alot of fiber.

First NO COLAS! Second your water intake is not enough, drink more, much more. Third do not any bread {including pizza} till it passes. Best bet eat some celery and drink fruit juice {prune juice works well}. Gatorade will work as well cause the salt content will cause your body to store water better. This too shall pass!

Firstly increase your fluid intake to 2 liters of water a day, get of the bran bread that is binding you up too much and eat green vegetables each day. Eat rolled Oates for breakfast and you will go back to a normal bowel rhythm.
