This was about 15 years ago. The police didn't believe me,I think. I was having a panic attack so they thought I was crazy or pretending.

Yes, on July 12, 1981 I awoke at 4:30 AM to go to the bathroom and get a drink of water. I had to walk trough the livingroom into the hallway to go to the kitchen. I passed the entertainment unit where we had the stereo system and huge speakers sat on the floor. I thougt one of my kids had moved the speaker for some unknown reason. I proceded to the kitchen to get water, coming back, I hesitated because something just didn't seem "right". With that, a man wearing only blue pants jumped up and grabbed me. First he stabbed me in the ribs, which punctured my lung, then he dragged me outside backwards by my ponytail, he was punching me to shut up, still going backwards, we had to take a few steps down to get to the car, he opened the trunk of the car to throw me in to it I tripped which made him drop me. I rolled under the car and scooted up to the front tires and stayed there. I knew he couln't go forward because the fence and the building was there. I never saw his face because I can't see without glasses, I guess he thought I could have identified him. At the time, I was not frightened because I was in such shock that it happened and it was so quick and unexpected.
I stayed in the hospital for about 4 months, needed lots of surgery. I still have spinal problems from the fractures in my neck and lower spine,
I paid quite a bit of money to live in a "gated" community with security guards, gated entrances, etc. Antother older woman was raped that night too. The security person was up at the local convenience store drinking beer. The perp came in through a sliding glass door

Today, I use this as a learning tool to help other crime victims
realize that they can once again had a normal life although in some instances it is altered, but they can and will go on

No, Denie , I have never had anything like that happen to me as far as him walking into my house. I did however have a stalker for over a year just recently. He has been a server at a resturant my ex and I frequently went to. When found out about my seperation, he got my phone number from my step daughter ( we all felt like he was a friend). He called a couple of times and I was nice to him but not overly nice if you know what I mean. Next thing I knew he was pulling up in my driveway uninvited. He did this several times along with calling after midnight and letting the phone ring 100 times (i counted the rings).

One night he called and I left home and stayed with my brother. I was getting so fed up with this guy. I was trying to avoid him all the ways a person can avoid and still he would not stop.

One night I was sitting here and heard a tap on my door. I didnt even think of him, thought it was my imagination, so go up and went to bed. A car had not pulled down in my driveway. Creepy.

The next time he tapped on my door I had my gun loaded and told him , GO AWAY, he kept the tapping and I pushed the gun up to the window so he could see it and he ran.

I am not in any way saying you should use or have a gun. Im my case the only way to get rid of this guy was to return the fear and threat.

I live alone and I have to protect ME.

Im sorry for what you have been through. Sorry for such a long story.

Yea, I reached into my nite stand and pulled out a 45 long colt Ruger single action pistol and they retreated into a back hall way. I reached into my closet and pulled out my Benneli 12 guage shotgun M1 super 90 (holds 8 shells) gave my wife the revolver and went into the hallway where the perpertrator threatened me again in the dark with I didn't know what . At the end of the hallway was a window about 6 ft back , I pulled the trigger 3 times and he flew out the back window, backwards like someone had a rope tied to him and jerked him out the back wdw and he fell about 20 ft down to the ground. The police estimated he died before he went out the hallway window. I sleep just fine today(maybe a little lighter now a days) but I have no regrets since he was a convicted Felon who had served 15 yrs in the can for 'breaking and entering and rape". I had no charges lodged against me

In Florida, loaded firearms can be transported without a concealed carry permit as long as the gun is securely encased. Florida courts have upheld that merely placing the loaded gun in the glove compartment or center console, and closing the lid, is "securely encased." Can you shoot someone for breaking into your house? Sure. Would you be right for doing so? It depends. Florida law allows for the armed citizen to use deadly force on a perpetrator if the shooter reasonably believes that his life is in immediate jeopardy, or he witnesses the perpetrator engaged in a violent felony - which includes a home invasion, arson, rape, etc. Now that you have a gun, you have a moral responsibility to learn the circumstances under which you can fire it at another human being. Hands down, the best source right now is "Florida Firearms Law, Use & Ownership" by Jon Guttmacher. Click the link below for ordering information (it's at the bottom of the page) .

This is quite serious.

I'm 30 years old. No, that has never happened to me, mainly because if it did, I or my husband, or both of us together, would beat this person down.

If this has happened to you, you need to contact the police. File a report. If you know the person who did this to you, tell the police their name. Have you some family members you trust? Tell them what happened. Do you live alone? Consider having someone come to stay with you, like a son / daughter, grandchild, or whoever. LOCK YOUR DOORS. Keep windows shut.

Do not stand for this kind of treatment. It's NOT appropriate. You do NOT deserve this.

Email me, if you want more tips and opinions, if you want to talk about this some more, or if I can help you in some way. I despise people who bully others.

Best wishes.

Yes, about 35 years ago. I shot the bast*rd. Nothing really came of it, the guy was an escaped convict and mental ward dependent and the Chief of Police lived next door, so I had all the help I needed, right there. Only scary thing about it was when all the cops showed up waving their guns around with no clue.

When I was like 16 I sold this kid who was 18 some Coricidine Cough and Cold pills. You take 10 and trip balls. Totally safe. (Actually not totally, but in general they're ok to take - I did it maybe 30 times in all). He took them, I told him it takes an hour to take effect. He went home after an hour, tripped balls, parents found out, had his stomach pumped, and his brother came over with about 50 people with baseball bats and knifes to hurt me. Got into my house, and me and my sisters boyfriend immediately forced the first two guys out and locked the door. I was SO high off fire nug (weed), I called the police, they asked for my address and I gave them my phone number. I was so high, nervous, and scared all at the same time. HAha the cops came and I didn't get in trouble. But they talked to the guy and he never came back. Ended up meeting him and his boys up a few years later and he got in a knife fight with my friend and they both went to jail......

Sorry that happened to you.

Before I moved back home to take care of my parents, I went on vacation, when I got back home I found out that someone had gotten into my house and stole my gun and all the ammo that I had for it (about 300 rounds) over $6,000.00 that we had hid in the house. I felt very violated to say the least. I was not comfortable living there any more.

I have had 2 people threaten to kill me, both went to jail. One was an ex-husband of mine, the other was my ex-sister-in-laws boyfriend. It happened about 2 years a part.

I had a neighbor come over to the house one summer evening. He was angry with me because his daughter went home crying and I could hear him coming from across the street. The front door was open, no screen. I was sitting across the room on the couch. He started to walk in and I pointed my finger at him and said "In the name of Jesus, I rebuke you". He was pushed back out of the door. He tried to enter 2 more times and I said the exact same thing both times. He could not get into the house, so he left. The name of Jesus is more powerful than any other word. I heard of an older woman in an elevator being attacked by a young man with a gun. She just started saying "the blood of Jesus" and he ran out.

No, but my ex used to kick in my bedroom door (we had agreed to seperate bedrooms at the time) in the middle of the night thinking I had a man in there. If I were going to cheat (which I didn't) would I be stupid enough to bring him to the house? After he broke the lock, I braced a chair under the doorknob & he broke that, too. He beat me, put a gun to my head & threatened my family & friends. I don't think it gets any worse that that. .......By the way, this is domestic violence awareness month as well as cancer awareness month. I'll tell you details if you want to hear them if you e-mail me........I'm in the deep south & the police didn't believe me either! In fact HE had ME arrested for domestic violence. I was in jail for 3 weeks until he realized he'd locked up his paycheck!
