I feel your pain. I am 33 weeks right now and my baby has been the same for weeks. I stay awake many nights, I literally feel beat up inside and my back usually aches like hell. Honestly, I am dealing with strong movement as I write to you. I find that rubbing my stomach while laying down eventually calms the baby, avoid eating any big meals late before bed as well as caffine (that's when I would get kicked the most after eating), try getting as much sleep as possible when you can, relaxing baths/massage and deep breathing seem to help.

Are the docs sure there aren't two little bundles hunkering down in there..??lol or you might be further along than you think?
Gentle exercise can help a painful back and also warm heat packs on the sore areas. be sure to take plenty of breaks through the day and put your feet up.
There isn't a lot you can do to make the baby stop kicking (except maybe ONE glass of wine might make it sleep...just a theory that'll keep everyone happy and be totally safe) but try to avoid icy cold drinks and spicy food as this can stir them up. I always found that if i had a really cold drink the baby went nuts!!!
best of luck

try to avoid caffeine. It effects your baby just like it would you. Other than that, be glad you have a healthy active baby. Mine does the same thing. especially at night. When you get a little farther along, there won't be as much movement because the baby doesn't have as much room to move, but that brings on a whole new type of movement... the stretching that feels like the baby is going to pull something inside your body and tear it's way out. but it's worth it!

I'm 24 weeks aswell but I don't feel my baby move all that much. It's just a sign of a healthy baby. Maybe talk to your midwife as see what she suggests? Good luck! and don't worry only 16 weeks or so to go!

There is no such thing as too much movement when it comes to the baby. You need not be concerned, though it can be bothersome at times. It;s just a sign of a healthy baby!

I do not suggest relaxing in a bath. Take some walks! When I walk, the baby doesn't move. It is actually rocking him/her to sleep. In the meantime, you will also get your exercise!
