Since you are irregular you should have sex every other day and no more. Give the sperm a chance to rejuvenate. Last period in July and still a negative? Have you tested again because this is September! But having sex only a few times a month may not be enough but don't try it everyday either. Also, after sex lay with the "juice" in for as long as you can, some will escape which is normal but enough stays to do the job but lay there for at least 20-30 minutes. Prop your legs up, maybe on the wall.
Have you ever found out why you're so irregular? It could be the culprit of why you're having trouble conceiving. I was very irregular and found out that I didn't have enough progesterone hormones to trigger ovulation. Can't get pregnant w/o ovulating! I was given meds and the problem was solved--I ovulated like clockwork and was soon doing so w/o the meds. So, you should go to your gyno and have some testing done.
