and I just realized two are male and one is a female. I know this is the wrong ratio of male/female platies, but will they be okay? One of the males is a Mickey and the other two fish are Sunbursts. The Mickey chased the other male around for awhile and now the other male hides most of the time. The Mickey follows the female Sunburst around. Do you think the loner platy will be okay?

well, the males will only be aggresive when its mating time...
but i guess it's better to just get 1 or 2 more females, you'll need them to keep the shoal peaceful.

i've never seen my platy kill each other when its time for mating, so i guess he'll be fine physically, but really really stressed...

You really need to get 2 more females. Eventually, when the female is pregnant, the males will chase her around stressing her out and she can succumb to disease and/or death.

I not know if your a guy, I think you may be.
How you act around another guy who likes the same girl you do? This just natural. The guys may have opposition for the female. That why you state your answer, you need more women in the "Bar"! LOL!

You need about 5 more females. The individual "picking" will be spread around, and everybody will be happy.
