If people get offended by this, then they are obviously oversensitive weakminded individuals. I know tons of Filipino nurses, but no Filipino doctors. The doctor in question was white and American's don't like their doctors to be trained in 3rd world countries. I didn't realize Filipino's were so weak minded to let a soap opera bother them...feel sorry for them.

i think it shows how these women are a little oblivious to the world around them. its very common in that type of culture. I live in Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley and it seems theres some kind of fear here of greater Los Angeles like someone is going to mug you or shoot you at any moment. I think the same thing applies to the show.

So. First, it's Susan Myers. And hellllllooooo - it's a fictional story. It was written as a joke. What would the difference be if she would've said "I want to check your credentials and see if they were bought at Wal-Mart." Then Wal-Mart could sue. I think you should stop watching so much television and work on your spelling. Oh, don't sue me.

I really did not think it was a scandel. I am sure the writters of the show did not mean for it to be took the wrong way. The show is a comedy/drama. I really see no harm done at all.
