I'm doing a project about a person who is at first devoted to his faith and his faith is lessen over time (I'm talking about Elie in the book Night by Elie Wiesel)I need a symbol like an ice cube melting slowly do you have any better examples or symbols thanks in advance

You could talk about Mother Teresa and how she, a saint, even questioned her faith in God. Times magazine recently published an article dedicated to her with some excerpts of her letters. A physical symbol you could put besides an ice cube could be, well, nothing -_-. But a symbolic or meta-physical thing you could put would be, maybe, the morals of the United States, of how the entertainment system corrupts the young. The whole sphere of morality gets smaller and smaller, well to me it does.
